Speedway uses a modular design that allows us to make any length of conveyor in varying widths in 3″ segments (ie 3″, 6″, 9″, 12″ etc). We can further customize our designs to incorporate curves, inclines and flights.

Overview

Broadly speaking, our conveyors are divided into two categories, modular plastic belts and endless belt conveyors. Each has its own advantages.

Modular belt conveyors always run true and alignment is not a consideration. They are very durable and individual belt tiles can be replaced if damaged. This style belt is also very easy to remove for  cleaning or replacement. There are numerous styles of chain with varying friction, openness (in the case where you want the belt to drain), flights for conveying products on inclines and belt that can travel along a radius.

Endless conveyor belts are often used for small packages/containers where you need a very smooth running conveyor and high friction. The conveyor belts typically do need to be tracked properly and can be more challenging to remove.

We have also made conveyors from a cogged needless belt. This is basically an endless belt that is driven by cogs (similar to a plastic modular belt) because it has a drive teeth molded into the belt. This belt is ideal when building a flighted incline conveyor.

Automatic Overflow Filler (LF90CA-C/PD)

This is an economical automatic fill-to-level machine that can easily be expanded as your business grows. This fill to level machine ensures the level in each bottle is the same regardless of variations in bottle volume.

Overview

The LF90CA is a proven workhorse with hundreds in service today. Containers are automatically transferred on a conveyor in and out of the machine. Bottle positioning and cycling of the machine is controlled by a PLC receiving bottle counts from sensors. As long as bottles are in place and product is in the tank, this machine will continue to fill bottles automatically.

Nozzles are easily spaced out when dealing with different diameter bottles or can even be swapped if bottle openings have large variations. The machine has an option of either a centrifugal pump (ideal for non-viscose liquids) or  a positive displacement pump (high viscose liquids). These inline fillers can be customized to suit any size container or conveyor length. Container sizes from 100 ml to 10 L can be accommodated.

Semi-Automatic Overflow Filler (LF90ST-C / PD)

This is an economical entry level machine that can be expanded and upgraded to an automatic machine as your business grows. This fill to level machine ensures the level in each bottle is the same regardless of variations in bottle volume.

Overview

The LF90ST is a proven workhorse with hundreds in service today. Containers are shuttled along a slide table and indexed via a manual stop. The operator presses a start button and the filling cycle begins. Once the filling cycle has been completed the nozzle bar lifts and waits until the operator presses the button once again.

Nozzles are easily spaced out when dealing with different diameter bottles or can even be swapped if bottle openings have large variations. The machine has an option of either a centrifugal pump (ideal for non-viscose liquids) or  a positive displacement pump (high viscose liquids). The Speedway  CT90 semi-automatic cap tightener is a unique machine that handles glass, plastic or metal containers to reliably and accurately tighten caps for manual applications. It will accommodate any continuous thread cap (including child proof). The universal bottle guide accurately centers round, square, rectangular, and many odd shaped containers. A multi-disc slip clutch provides reliable torque. The CT90 is air operated and bottle sensing is provided for ease of operation. Change over from one container to another can be accomplished in minutes.  Cycle speeds of 30 containers per minute can be achieved.

Side Belt Drive Semi-Automatic Erector & Pack Station (SPM-563)

The SPM-563P allows one person to form, pack and seal cartons in one operation. The operator opens the flat carton and places it into the erector.  The machine folds the bottom flaps ready for packing. After packing, the operator presses the footswitch or pushbutton. Artel  was a well established Canadian manufacturer of quality labelers for a number of decades.They closed shop in 2007 at which time Speedway Packaging Machinery bought the rights to their product line.Despite their age, there are still hundreds of their machines in service today and we still support Artel labelers where possible.Some parts are in stock however proprietary circuit boards in this equipment means IC board problems are typically not repairable.
